Pet Friendly Bed & Breakfasts

For those guests traveling to New Hampshire with your beloved pets, you’ll be happy to know that some of our member B&Bs are pet friendly. They realize that your pet is part of your family and can accommodate you and your pet. Most travelers seeking a pet friendly B&B are interested in bringing their dog with them, but some B&Bs accommodate other types of pets, including horses!

Below is the current list of member B&Bs that are pet friendly. This list can also be found by going to Find a B&B By Amenity page of the NHBBA website, and selecting “Pet Friendly.”

Coppertoppe Inn and Retreat Center in Hebron is a B&B that has four guest rooms:  rooms and suites have modern, private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, fridges, towel warmers, and full bath amenities. The property is away from the road and surrounded by conserved woodlands. The inn’s organic gardens, lawn and pond are cultivated without chemicals, as evidenced by the healthy frogs, birds, and other wildlife who thrive here. All rooms have stunning views of Newfound Lake and surrounding mountains. Full breakfast buffet, snacks and beverages are included. Beach passes, towels, footwear, and picnic gear are free to use.

Coppertoppe warmly welcomes pets of all kinds. We love animals and treat them as honored guests. We have hosted dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and parrots. Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome. We provide beds, dishes, towels, toys and home-made treats.

Inn on Golden Pond, in Holderness (Squam Lake region), has nine guest rooms including three king suites, one of which is dog friendly (“Moose Mansion”). The inn offers the rustic appeal of country living and the convenience of the 21st century. In addition to the charming guest rooms, a complimentary, full breakfast featuring home-baked breads and muffins, homemade jam, and a variety of delicious house specialties is served each morning.

The innkeepers, who love dogs, recently remodeled Moose Mansion, in the back of the inn, to allow guests to bring their dog because they know from first-hand experience how hard it is to find a nice place to stay that allowed their dogs. The Inn on Golden Pond takes reservations for Moose Mansion by phone only, 603-968-7269.

Iron Creek Farm B&B in Salisbury, is a restored colonial farm house with three guest rooms providing a welcoming atmosphere for families and their pets. The B&B offers a full continental breakfast as well as refrigerator and kitchen privileges for guests who want to eat in. Iron Creek Farm B&B welcomes dogs and horses.

The historic Nutmeg Inn in Meredith (Lake Winnipesaukee region), which dates back to 1763, transports you back to a simpler time while being surrounded by all the comforts of modern life. A hearty country breakfast is served each morning. The inn has ten guest rooms, two of which are suites with private entrances that are dog-friendly.

Canterbury Center Bed & Breakfast in Canterbury, where history meets hospitality, is a small historic guest house in a picturesque and quiet setting, providing three guest rooms. Each morning, a delectable breakfast is served which will treat you to healthy, farm fresh, local and seasonal Canterbury produce. The B&B can accommodate guests with well-behaved dogs.

Timber Post Bed and Breakfast in Hollis, has five guest rooms in a 1774 farmhouse lovingly set on rolling farmland minutes from the convenience of the city. Small pets (no cats) are welcomed on a limited case-by-case basis and must be crated and not left unattended day or night. Contact Timber Post for details.

Cheney House is a charmingly restored 1895 Victorian B&B  located in the countryside village of Ashland (in the Lakes Region), offering four guest rooms. This personable B&B is pet friendly and is in a region that abounds in beautiful mountains, several lakes, covered bridges, and wildlife viewing.
