May: Migratory Bird Month in New Hampshire?

Honestly, there are too many birding opportunities in NH during May to list them all but read below for some great ideas!
Eastern Bluebird
Many migratory birds have already left their winter homes down south and have begun their journey north to their summer homes. During the month of May, there is a fantastic opportunity to see many of these birds as they make their way through the state of New Hampshire.

In the state of New Hampshire, the NH Audubon Society is your go-to source for learning about opportunities to celebrate the day. From the Great North Woods to the Monadnock Region, from the Connecticut River Valley to the Seacoast and everywhere in between, the NH Audubon society is offering more than a dozen birding events and opportunities across the state that are guided by local experts.

One of the reasons NH Audubon makes a great tourism partner for StayNH.org is that just like us, they cover the entire state. While birding in every corner of the state, you are sure to find an NHBBA member Bed & Breakfast nearby. So if you are looking for a fun weekend in New Hampshire in May, consider staying at one of our fantastic B&Bs where you can be spoiled with a homemade breakfast to fuel your day spotting warblers, bluebirds and many other species of birds!

Our innkeepers look forward to welcoming you.
